A Quick, Next Day Marriage in Winchester, VA
Getting married in Virginia is a very simple process. Not much is required to get your marriage license (learn how to get your marriage license here). It is not only easy to do, but can be done with very little notice too if my schedule is clear.
Eric and Megan texted me on a Thursday night and wanted to know if I could marry them as they would be driving up from the Richmond, VA area. When I asked them when, they said “tomorrow”! Luckily for them my schedule was clear that afternoon and I assured them it would be no problem.
I met them in Old Town Winchester in front of the Historic Courthouse Civil War Museum which is right across the street from the Winchester Judicial Center (where they obtained their marriage license). They asked to be married in a simple ceremony so I kept it short and simple, and we spent the rest of the time taking photographs throughout the scenic Old Town area.
