A Scenic and Free Location to Elope in Virginia

Couples wishing to elope in Virginia usually are looking to keep it low-key and simple. They want a quick, private ceremony between the two of them at a scenic, low-cost location. Blandy Farm fits those characteristics perfectly which is why I often recommended it as one of my top locations for elopements.

Per the Blandy Farm website:

The Arboretum grounds are open 365 days a year from dawn to dusk. Admission to the arboretum is FREE. Donations to the Foundation of the State Arboretum (FOSA) are always appreciated.

Sheridan and Erin came all the way from the Richmond area to meet me one early morning at Blandy Farm to get married. It was just the two of them, and I married them along a wooded lane enclosed partly by arching trees and other beautiful greenery.

“Thanks for everything, Aaron! The photos are wonderful.” – Sheridan and Erin N.
