Eloping in Winchester, VA from WV – Charles and Karen
Many couples come to Virginia from West Virginia because of how easy it is to get married. In Virginia there is no blood test, no waiting period, and all you need is $30 and your official IDs (driver’s license for example), and you can get your marriage license the same day. That’s exactly what Charles and Karen did. They came to town from their home in West Virginia for a quick early morning marriage in the local park with some photographs. Turns out Charles is a professor at the college I graduated from in Baltimore, MD (UMBC). Small world!
