The Woodland Package is a special option I offer to couples looking for guaranteed privacy for their elopement ceremony held at my private 34-acre residence in Cross Junction, VA (only 20 minutes north of Winchester). My property is easily accessible from a major highway and features a wooded setting for your wedding, plus tons of options for scenic photos including forest locations, grassy fields, and a small overlook with a mountain view. All of these are great choices for those looking to get married away from public view in a quiet outdoor setting. It is also home to my nonprofit organization, Piggins and Banks Pig and Animal Sanctuary, which provides a forever loving home to abandoned, abused, and neglected pigs.
Please note this is an OUTDOOR ONLY venue with no indoor access unless inclement weather.
This experience will forever be memorable! Aaron made it feel so much more special which is exactly what we wanted than to do the simple process of marriage through the court. We chose to get elope due to our circumstances and urgency to do it soon and we had the intentions of getting married same day as getting our license, but after everything we had gone through this past year, we at least wanted to maintain some of the romance and magical feeling of getting married. So after doing some research and seeing what was available, we stumbled upon Aaron’s website and instantly realized that this would be the perfect place to start our next chapter as husband and wife. From the beginning we were surrounded by lush and bright greenery from the forest which was the perfect background for the ceremony. We then proceeded to do our little photo shoot with our good fluffy boy Milo who loved Aaron’s cat noises to grab his attention while still capturing each pose we had. We did opt-in to meet the incredible duo of Marry Piggins and Mr. Baka which was the best way to end our day! We’ve loved the pictures that he took and we have committed that on our wedding anniversary we will continue to donate to the sanctuary as a thank you for his service to not just us but those amazing animals he maintains with his family. We can’t recommend Aaron enough to those who want to have an intimate or small wedding in lush and beautiful surroundings or even as just a photographer because the photos were perfect!
My husband and I had an incredible experience with Aaron! We got married, he sent out our license same day and provided the tracking information within a couple of hours of our ceremony, and we received our photos not long after! Aaron was kind, helpful, and took amazing photos of our ceremony which was so important to us. I highly recommend him!!!
The marriage process would have been a disaster without Aaron. Aaron provided all of the resources and instructions necessary for my husband and I. Not only was the ceremony beautiful and smooth, but our photos were a delight!! Highly recommended for a peaceful, memorable, and organized marriage.
We picked a very cold date to get married, and Aaron still officiated AND took photographs without complaint. Super friendly! We are terrible at taking pictures and gave us guidance to get GREAT photos. 10/10 experience. Wouldn’t trade it for anything!

Aaron is respectful, friendly, and easy to work with. From the beginning, even before contacting him, I liked the ease of navigating Aaron’s website and seeing the format of his services and pricing. My now-wife Hye Jin and I selected the Woodland Package for our elopement with a photography session add-on, and our photographs came out beautifully. Neither of us are particularly comfortable in front of a camera, but Aaron directed us and put us at ease. We were very happy with the privacy and beauty of the location, and we were thrilled to meet Mr. Banks the handsome pig and Zoe the beautiful calico cat. As nature lovers and animals lovers, the Woodland Package was the perfect choice. It was a truly special day, and Hye Jin and I are very grateful to Aaron for offering the services that he does in the way he does.
We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to elope. The setting felt intimate, peaceful, and romantic…exactly what we were hoping for in an elopement. To top it off, the photography included was phenomenal. We hired Aaron as our officiant and photographer for our elopement and I suggest you do the same! You won’t be disappointed. He was professional but personable and made our special day perfect. Very detailed and really listened to what we wanted and made it happen even better than we had planned. Our photos were amazing and he got them to us quicker than we expected! Aaron was so easy to work with and did a wonderful job with our ceremony. He was prompt with replying to any questions I had (which weren’t many because he did a great job with anticipating those questions and already having answers on his website). He was extremely professional and very friendly. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to choose him to officiate our wedding!
