Elopement Marriage by a Waterfall in Purcellville, VA

When a couple contacts me to get married, I try to make the process as easy as possible for them. From sharing the process of how simple it is to get married in Virginia to suggesting great locations for photographs, I try to take care of everything possible so all they need to do is get their marriage license and show up!

However sometimes a couple makes my job easier. That is what Alex and Christina did. They live in West Virginia, but asked for me to marry them across the state line in Virginia by a waterfall. Off hand I did not know of any spot like that and told them I would need to do some research. However they told me they had taken care of finding a spot and gave me the exact location to meet them at.

All I can say is wow…what a secret spot they found with a waterfall included! We met at an undisclosed location close to the West Virginia / Virginia state line where I married them in a quick ceremony, and then spent a good hour taking photos in and around this wonderful spot.

Also keep an eye out below for the giant metal ring that Alex made for Christina (he is a welder)!

  • Location: Purcellville, VA (close to Harpers Ferry, WV)
  • Date: March 2017

“Thank you so much for all you have done for us. You have made this entire occasion seem weightless on our end. You are a great guy, and a spectacular photographer.” – Alex and Christina
