How to Get Married at a Mountain Overlook in Virginia
Many couples choose to elope as they prefer not to deal with all the stresses and finances of a typical wedding. However just because you choose to elope does not mean you have to get married in a courthouse or office. You can get married anywhere you want, including a scenic mountain overlook in Virginia!
Shenandoah National Park features several easily accessible overlooks that can serve as a perfect spot for you to exchange your vows. John and Diane chose to meet me at one of these overlooks on an October early afternoon to elope and exchange their vows. I took some photos of them at the overlook, and then we drove a few hundred feet down Skyline Drive for a few other shots along a picturesque trail.
