Eloping at the Nancy Shepherd House in Winchester, VA
When I am not marrying couples in an elopement ceremony, I also serve as an elopement wedding photographer for my officiant associate David McLaughlin. David owns and operates the historic Nancy Shepherd House Inn in Winchester, VA which serves as a fantastic indoor elopement option for those looking to elope.
Fred and Angie came from West Virginia and were looking to spend a few days in Winchester and get married while here. They found David McLaughlin’s Nancy Shepherd House…a cozy, rustic, history-filled lodging option which is only a few blocks from Old Town Winchester. Since David would be marrying them at the Inn, since they were still in need of a photographer, they contacted me and I was happy to help.
The great thing about the Inn is that it also serves as a great spot to get ready if you plan on wearing formal wedding attire or a nice dress. After they were ready to go, David married them in the study at the Nancy Shepherd House while I captured their day in the form of photographs. Afterwards we spent some time taking some creative photos around the Inn, in the backyard, and along the streets of Winchester.
“Aaron did an amazing job with all my photos. I loved the fact that he made me feel relaxed and natural and it was such a happy day and I am so glad and thankful that I met him and that I chose him to be my photographer. He is awesome!!! Thank you Aaron! – Angeleigha Pratt
