Married on a Mountain in Virginia – Jason and Valerie
One of the great things about eloping in Virginia is that there is no shortage of scenic spots to choose from. Parks, trails, rustic settings, and mountains abound throughout the state (especially around Winchester), so it is easy to find a nice spot to have a quaint, intimate wedding ceremony.
One of the best overlooks around is the one found at Bears Den in Bluemont, VA. When Valerie saw some photo examples from previous elopements I had done there, she and her now husband Jason knew that is where they wanted to get married. While Bears Den can be a very popular spot during the weekends (due to being easily accessible from Route 7), if you head up there on a weekday you often encounter only a hiker or two passing through on the connection Appalachian Trail.
