Elope and Get Married at a Mountain Overlook in Virginia
I receive many inquiries from couples looking to elope and get married “in the mountains” in Virginia. Well if you are truly looking to be right in the middle of the mountains, Shenandoah National Park is the place to go.
Deontre and Deserei are both active military and needed to get married on a Sunday due to their restrictions as to when they could take leave from their commands. I worked with them to find a day and time I could accommodate, and recommended Shenandoah National Park as they stated they wanted to dress in formal attire (and the scenic overlooks in Shenandoah National Park are easy to access without hiking on unpaved trails). I married them at one of the many scenic overlooks in the park, and took some photos of the two of them after to commemorate the occasion.
