Mark and Kathy’s Halloween Wedding in Winchester, VA
Did you know that getting married at your own home in Virginia is really easy to do? It sure is. But what about getting married at your home during Halloween while dressed as a witch??? Easily done!
Mark and Kathy LOVE Halloween and getting married around one of my favorite holidays was a must for them. When they contacted me to find out how doable it was, I told them it couldn’t be easier. All they needed to do was get their marriage license from the Winchester courthouse (or any other Virginia Circuit Court) and reserve a date and time on my calendar and that was it. They decided to invite their neighbors and some close family and friends, and held their ceremony in their own back yard.
One thing I will always remember about their wedding is that after pronouncing them as husband and wife, per the bride’s request, I ended the ceremony with “Mark, you may now kiss your WITCH!”.
